Will Bill Gates be complicit in criminal activity for encouraging harassment of non mask users?

On Friday 31 July 2020 Microsoft founder Bill Gates told Business Insider that rather than rely upon government mandates people should pressure each other into wearing masks. He said, ”[w]hat you need is that if you’re walking around without a mask, people go, ‘Hey, buddy, that’s inappropriate.”

Accosting someone and telling him or her what to do, in my opinion, is just plain stupid. However, in the state of Indiana it can also be an offense under the criminal code.[fn1]

Gates could find himself in the position of being a criminal conspirator if he incites anyone to accost another in Indiana and the confrontation turns violent.

Some people do not take kindly to being accosted when they are legally going about their own business with no intention of engaging in a confrontation. That type of action could result in physical violence and either party could seek monetary damages from Gates who would have no problem paying it with a grin on his face. But it could get tougher for Gates if a prosecutor decides to charge him criminally.

That’s because in Indiana it is an offense to utter fighting words against another person with the intent to disturb that person. If the confrontation becomes so hostile that the initiator commits battery against the target then Gates, who incited the aggressor, could face a criminal penalty. The people following Gates’ advice could likewise be charged under the criminal code for simply accosting someone not wearing a mask.

Why would Gates promote an idea to lull people into accepting a purported protective measure which is actually ineffective? Read THIS to see the statements by the US Government regarding the effectiveness of masks. Gates owns a mega corporation that will benefit from the spread of a worldwide contagion and greater reliance upon technology and reducing in-person interactions. Read THIS to see who benefits by the spread of SARS CoV-2.

What is truly inappropriate is to recklessly encourage others to accost rational people by debasing their intellect just to increase your profits a bit and promote a political agenda.
